Mary Jane Chase Receives First Drummer Boy Award PDF Print E-mail
Written by Rhonda Picou
Longtime Weathervane board member and Best Friend of the WVAA, Mary Jane Chase, was the recipient of the very first Drummer Boy Award this summer.  In an informal ceremony following the Alumni Show, Gibbs Murray and Jacques Stewart presented MJ with the award, in honor of her many years of dedicated service to the theatre.

If you've ever attended an alumni weekend, you know who she is.  She has welcomed us into both the Chase Barn and her own home, offering the kind of hospitality that makes for deliriously happy times.

A staunch ally, MJ has been the WVAA's unofficial photographer and the speed with which she dispatches digital photos is legendary.

For these reasons and so many more, we join the Weathervane in honoring Mary Jane Chase.  True to Weathervane form, the award was sculpted from multiple layers of foam core.
